Very interesting technique recording/listening back. Will have to give it a go. Been learning to play guitar for a little over a year. I seem to be able to play my own stuff, just using the general music theory and such that I have learned, rather than other peoples songs and riffs, so far anyway. So, I probably need to pursue my own creative endeavors over all. I have your Songwriting Genius program which I purchased(under my real(?) name a few weeks back. Been reading through it so far, as you advise, but, it sure is interesting stuff. As I said, I have been studying music for a little over a year, and have much to absorb, even your ideas, but the excitement is building, to say the least.
