I do agree, from both the pastor and songwriter standpoint that given a flow of thought or idea or maybe just events in a continuous joined progression keeps the attention of the audience more enamored and sometimes enraptured to the speaker/singer/artist.

A kept attention is a captured attention for further efforts as one is more likely to return and seek more from that source.
