sylvie, love your technique tips

I have just been thinking about song writing for some time, unfortunately I am not a musician but that won't stop me from trying it. Maybe I can use my song writing on already existing written melody. Would there be a different approach for that?

Thank you for your comments...I like that, changing a couple of note to make it more my own is certainly something I will try to incorporate as I go. That is great!

That's avery common way to get started with songwriting and it's a great way to get your lyrical thoughts out there, you might try to change a note or two and then you've got a new song with a new melody.
